Weebly:
With Weebly, the free sites only have the basic
features available to them, albeit a substantial collection of very
useful items. To include some of the more useful, complex or
advanced features you need to pay for an upgrade to Weebly Pro
(costing around £25-£35/year). This is still a very affordable
alternative to the costs listed below for a custom-built website. We
will discuss with you which approach best suits your
objectives/budget and help you choose. If you want your own domain
name there is an additional cost (either on a yearly or monthly
basis), or we can help you transfer your existing domain to the
Weebly environment and enable you to build your new Weebly website
quicker than you think.
| Domain Registration | £6 to £10 per year depending on the type chosen (for example .co.uk or .com) |
| Website Hosting | £25 to £30 per year depending on the service provided (some cost a lot more than this). Small business sites do not usually need more than the basic offerings. If in doubt, ask us. If you need more space you can usually organise it with no fuss. |
| Alan's Computer Services | Initial one hour consultation £30, additional web-development @ £20 per hour. As a rough guide you can expect to pay between £50-60 per page depending on the content. You can help reduce costs by being more involved in the development. We can take high-resolution digital photographs for your site if required - we can also work with your own pictures if they are suitable for the site content. Pages with animation (such as slide shows) or form submissions will cost a little more due to the time required to add and test additional code to the pages involved. |

If you intend to self-author and self-publish you may need a web-development tool like Front Page or Expression Web from Microsoft - otherwise you pay somebody else (like us) to do it for you. |
